Brie Larson Proves She’s as Strong as Captain Marvel Herself

It is no coincidence that Brie Larson was chosen to play Captain Marvel. The Kree warrior can fly through space unaided, throw a photon blast, and take out the bad guys single handed. All in all, she’s the most powerful being the MCU. New footage suggests that Larson may also be the strongest member of the cast.

The actress shared a video of one of the more impressive exercises in her workout routine. With her bare hands, Larson pushes a 5,000-pound Jeep for an entire minute. We would definitely consider that superhuman! Did we mention she did it while smiling and giggling no less?

Co-star Samuel L. Jackson teased the video of the now infamous Jeep push back in December. Now that we have seen it for ourselves, it is every bit as impressive as he described. Not only is she moving the giant vehicle, but she is also pushing it up a hill. They took safety precautions to make sure she wouldn’t get crushed, but Larson is in such good shape, she didn’t need any help. Still, do not try this at home.

Larson fully committed to preparing for the role long before its release date. As a result of her intense training, she did a lot of her own stunts on set. As early as an entire year ago, she took pilot lessons on an Air Force base since her character is an ace flyer. They always say train for the job you want and Captain Marvel wants to be the one that saves everyone from an apocalypse at the hands of a madman.

Now that we have seen just what Larson is capable of, it is no wonder that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) called her in to save the universe after Thanos struck. I mean, can Iron Man, Captain America, or Star Lord push 5,000 pounds up a hill?

Captain Marvel storms into theaters March 8.
